March 2026

Greetings from Milan!

I am grateful to report that over the past month we have once again witnessed the faithfulness of the Lord to His church in Italy, as He continues to add to her number and strengthen the saints.

On February 22, we welcomed a new family into membership at Chiesa Riformata Filadelfia. They have been attending our church for nearly two years and recently completed the full nine-week membership course. Four members of the family made profession of faith, and three were baptized. What a beautiful testimony to God’s covenant faithfulness through the generations!

On February 27, at a congregational meeting, the members of the church confirmed by vote Mr. Francesco Pinelli to serve as an elder. After two years of prayer and seeking the Lord’s will, we have been given a wonderful gift in this brother, who is mature in the faith, a proven leader, and humble in spirit. We now have three elders, three deacons, and one minister serving the church, and we give thanks to God for His provision.

On March 1, we also received into full communicant membership a dear older couple who moved to Milan from Rome more than a year ago and have been faithfully attending ever since. After completing the membership course, they publicly reaffirmed their faith before the congregation through their vows.

That same evening, I had the opportunity to preach at the evening service of Brescia Presbyterian Church, located about an hour east of Milan. The church is pastored by Rev. Edivaldo Junior, a faithful minister and missionary of the Presbyterian Church of Brazil. This congregation was one of the eleven churches represented at our national meeting on January 6 and continues to labor with us as we take steps toward the formation of a confessional Reformed denomination in Italy. I am deeply encouraged by these brothers and their evident love for Christ, His gospel, and His church.

As always, Janie and I are profoundly thankful for your prayers, encouragement, and faithful support of Mission Milan. Because of your partnership in the gospel, the Word of Christ continues to be proclaimed clearly and joyfully here in Italy. It is a privilege to labor in this land and to witness the quiet, steady work of the Lord as He builds His church through the ordinary means of grace.

With gratitude in Christ,
Michael & Janie
